Fine Tunes Enron Asset & Launches New Hosting Incentives
[15th October 2003]
NEW ORLEANS, Oct 15, 2003 /PRNewswire
via COMTEX/ -- Fresh from its purchase of New Orleans
datacenter assets of Enron Broadband, Zipa.com is launching
its first international campaign to grow its web-hosting
market share.
"Zipa.com is breaking new ground,"
Zipa.com's C.E.O. Sigmund Solares said. "We will
guarantee at least 25% lower prices than any other major
web hosting company."
Zipa.com is betting its future on being
able to soak up new customers, disillusioned with higher
prices and poor service from major hosting providers.
While the company will not guarantee
giving away hosting at everyone's requested price, Solares
said the company is eager to please and is accepting
webmasters' pricing proposals every day.
"If 25% off is not incentive enough
for you to switch, then fax us your bill and tell us
what price you are seeking," Solares said, in regards
to where the company will stop its recruit campaign.
"Many customers tell us that they were paying double
what we charge them -- so whatever it takes, let us
know."
The 25% off guarantee is scheduled to
end Nov. 1, 2003.
However, Solares said that new "offers
that can't be refused" will follow each month until
Zipa.com is one of the largest web hosting providers
on the planet. "We did it with domain names,"
Solares said, referring to sister- company and Top 10
registrar, directNIC.com. "Now we're doing it with
web hosting."
