| Growth
of U.S. NetworX Defies Industry Trend [13th
May 2003]
JACKSON, MS, May 13, 2003 – U.S.
NetworX, a provider of nationwide Internet and e-business
services, announced today that the growth of their customer
base, excluding acquisitions, has exceeded expectations.
Such growth is commonly referred to as “organic”
because it represents the results of internal sales
and marketing efforts, and does not include any increase
in revenue resulting from the purchase of another company.
Over the past 12 months, U.S. NetworX’s
web services revenue has more than quadrupled, growing
an average of 22% each month, and their access services
customer base increased at an average rate of 8% per
month. This strong growth bucks an industry-wide trend
where growth at many Internet companies has declined
due to a weak economy and the resultant slowdown in
demand for Internet services.
“I’m convinced we’re
growing so fast because we push hard to do the things
the other guys don’t,” said Meg Martin,
U.S. NetworX Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
“We’re proactive about client needs, we
listen, and we respond promptly. 100% client satisfaction
is the cornerstone of our business. We also have a network
of Retail Partners that is second to none.”
After the tremendous boom of the ‘90s,
a number of Internet companies have experienced declines
in demand for access and hosting services as cost-conscious
customers have cut back on expenses. Bankruptcies have
become commonplace during the dot-com bust as projected
demand for Internet services failed to materialize.
Even former stellar growth companies like AOL, Adelphia,
Covad, and WorldCom have fallen on hard times.
“We genuinely try to live by the
Golden Rule and treat our clients the way we want to
be treated, and that’s worked well for us,”
said CEO David Crawford. “With 150 million Americans
using the Internet, more and more businesses are realizing
they need to have their products on the Net. As a result,
I don’t see our growth slowing down anytime soon.”
