Unlocks China's .cn Domain to Global Internet Community

BANGKOK, Mar 10, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE)
-- The two-letter country code top-level domain .cn,
designating China, is now become available, to businesses
and individuals around the world, for pre-registration
through www.easyspace.com.
The .cn domains have become available
to the global Internet community enabling anyone anywhere
in the world to register domains and host web sites
under their .cn address. As an authorized ICANN registrar
for .cn domains, Easyspace is now accepting pre-registrations
on a first come first served basis. It provides an opportunity
for savvy domain registrants to race for the best domain
names before the .cn domain registrations are opened
for registration on March 16th through Easyspace.

We have opened offices in Asia to support this escalating
market. To celebrate our arrival in Asia we are offering
the new .cn domain name at a knock down price. We are

The Ministry of Information Industry
in China decided to relax and automate the registration
of .cn domains to individuals and businesses located
outside of China in the last quarter of 2002.
Within the next two years it is anticipated
China will account for more than twenty five percent
of Internet users worldwide. Currently there are more
than 59 million Internet users in China and with its
burgeoning online community the financial prospects
through the Internet are vast. China's e-commerce market
currently valued at $500 million per year is projected
to expand to $23 billion within three years.
Easyspace opened regional offices in
Bangkok Thailand in January 2003 to expand technical
resources and support the region. Easyspace is the sole
ICANN registrar in Thailand and one of a handful in
the region.
