‘Turbo Charges’ Hosting Plans: Slashes Prices,
Adds Disk Space and More [5th August 2003]
Reduces
prices by up to 34 percent, increases disk space by
300 percent, provides secure high-performance Web and
database servers
SCOTTSDALE,
Ariz., Aug. 5, 2003 – GoDaddy.com, the No. 1 registrar
of net new domains, announced today dramatically reduced
pricing of and feature rich enhancements to its Web
site hosting plans that will lead the fragmented hosting
industry the same way GoDaddy.com has lead the domain
market, according to Bob Parsons, president and founder.
Prices
for GoDaddy.com’s new Turbo Charged Web Site Hosting
Plans have been reduced by up to 34 percent, while disk
space has been increased by 300 percent, data transfer
speed by 200 percent and the number of email accounts
up to three times. The new prices start at $3.95 per
month for a GoDaddy.com “Junior” hosting
plan with 25 MB of storage space. The “Deluxe
with ASP” plan is $9.95 with 150 MB of disk space.
All plans include instant account activation, free setup
and other free features. A complete pricing menu is
available at www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/landing.asp.
“We
want our Turbo Charged Hosting Plans to be the reason
people call Go Daddy,” said Parsons. “Our
exceptionally competitive prices also include state-of-the-art
storage devices to save and protect your data, network
security systems with generator back ups and the 24/7
customer support customers can always expect with Go
Daddy.”
Turbo
Charged pricing was automatically extended to existing
GoDaddy.com customers in July. Since availability of
its new hosting plans, GoDaddy.com has seen a 63 percent
increase in new hosting customers across all plan types.
Turbo Charged hosting is also available to resellers
of WildWestDomains.com, sister company of GoDaddy.com.
