11, 2005 – 4PSA, a custom solutions provider for
web hosting companies announced today the launch of
a specialized software for Qmail management. 4PSA Qmail
Manager is an advanced solution designed to solve some
of the most stressing problems that hosting companies
face today.
For today’s web hosting industry,
the need to deliver fast, secure, and guaranteed business
communication is absolutely required. In order to provide
the email transmission, Plesk™ servers use Qmail,
which is a reliable, efficient, and secure message transfer
agent. Despite of these excellent features, the Qmail
queue manipulation is not an easy task for the server
administrators. Some command line tools exist, but they
are not easy to use and they do not provide advanced
management functions. The default Qmail settings, although
suitable for small environments do not deliver the scalability
required by a hosting business.
In order to address these issues and
to reduce administration costs and efforts, 4PSA designed
a Plesk™ integrated Qmail management solution.
4PSA Qmail Manager allows server administrators to control
various Qmail server options and to manage the queued
messages. The Qmail local and remote queues can be searched
based on the administrator input options. “Using
the search feature, the administrator can monitor the
email server activity and find the messages sent or
received, but not yet delivered. In order to provide
a secure and reliable hosting environment, he can also
determine if the server is used as a spam relay and
he can better address abuse complaints”, said

Making the email transfer faster and
more efficient is a 4PSA Qmail Manager design goal:
“The default Qmail configuration is not optimized
and it would be difficult to provide a standard optimized
configuration that works on all servers. Using 4PSA
Qmail Manager the administrator can easily tweak the
Qmail settings on his own server, based on traffic,
policy, and business profile.” added Mr. Mihalache.
Huge Qmail queues and slow deliveries can be intelligently
prevented.
The interface settings offer customization
capabilities for server administrators and hosting companies
and allow them to change the 4PSA software access link
and the context help. Hosting companies are able to
better customize the 4PSA software based on their client
needs and marketing policies by using these integration
features.

7 Reloaded and Plesk™ 7.5 Reloaded for Linux/Unix
and it is compatible with all operating systems and
platforms supported by Plesk™ 7 Reloaded and Plesk™
