Host
Color Comes up With a New Webmail [April 7,
2005]
Host
Color (hostcolor.com)
a shared web hosting provider has added a second webmail
system to its hosting offers. The new webmail engine
is Overlook. It
is based on the popular Squirrelmail program offers
extensive functionality and portability. It features
attractive skins as well as an Outlook Express - like
layout that most users are familiar and comfortable
with.
"We had only IlohaMail program
until now. It was fast, effective and easy-to-use. Some
of our customers however use primarily webmail client
because they are always on the move, or because they
find it much easier to use than setting up an POP3 email
program. Overlook is for those people. It gives them
the functionality of an email program through their
browser. The message list and the seprate messages are
viewed on one screen. Multiple settings can be done
for the filtering and processing of messages."
says Host Color's senior developer Stoyan Marinov.
The new webmail client will be available
on HostColor's packages starting from Monday April 11th,
2005. Customers will be able to choose which webmail
their account will utilise through Host Color's NextColor
hosting control panel.
This latest service addition comes on
top of the PowerTools package added to Host Color's
plans recently. Host Color has also announced that by
Monday users will also have the phpBB forum software
automatically available as a PowerTool. "By the
end of this development cycle we will have a service
that matches the most versatile hosting offerings on
the market. We will however do this in our way - we
want make all services accessible to each and every
customer." promises Vesselin Drangajov, a Host
Color Executive Director. |
