Launches Enhanced Virtual Private Network Services,
Offers Optimal Security For Enterprises [September
28, 2004]
SafeGuard Plus VPN services provide secure global
access to corporate data
Englewood,
Colo., September 28, 2004 - Verio, a subsidiary of NTT
Communications Corporation and a leading provider of
global IP solutions, today announced availability of
its SafeGuard Plus Virtual Private Network (VPN) managed
services. These network-based VPN solutions allow enterprises
of all sizes - from multi-national corporations to small
and medium enterprises with remote workers and branch
offices - to easily manage secure site-to-site or remote
access on their corporate networks around the globe.
Verio's
new SafeGuard Plus offerings complement the company's
existing portfolio of managed VPN services to provide
customers with ubiquitous access to corporate data via
equipment within Verio's network or at customers' locations.
This enhanced suite utilizes Verio's equipment for point-to-point
network access, or remote access to corporate networks
from any location in the world, depending on each customer's
preference. Both network-based solutions are more cost-effective
and easier to manage than traditional wide area network
and remote access service solutions. In addition, for
the utmost flexibility, customers that opt for remote
access VPN services can choose either Internet Protocol
security (IPsec) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Verio
fully manages VPN services and support, while still
allowing the enterprise network administrator full visibility
and control. Benefits of the services include:
- 24x7
proactive management of VPN appliances at a network
operations center (NOC)
-
IPsec tunneling aggregation at Points of Presence
(POP) for performance optimization and management
benefits
-
VPN maintenance and support, including all hardware
provisioning
- Critical
traffic prioritization to ensure immediate delivery
of priority email
- High
availability router configuration and route diversity
