Sessions Provide Government IT Managers with Insights on Adoption of Protocol

What:
As a leader in the deployment of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), the next generation Internet Protocol, Verio will present critical information on the deployment of IPv6 that will focus on real-world issues facing IT executives. Topics covered during the seminar include security, ISP deployment and transitioning to IPv6 from previous version of the protocol.

Cody Christman, director of engineering for Verio and published IPv6 expert, will lead two sessions that will breakdown “how to” deploy IPv6, as well as discuss the issues facing IT managers when adopting the new protocol. These sessions are directly aimed at IT managers in government, ISPs, financial services and application software developers porting to IPv6.

Why:
Since the Department of Defense announced that IPv6 will be fully deployed by 2008, more government IT managers are preparing to follow suit becoming familiar with the new technology. The objective of this event is to engage participants in learning more about IPv6 from the experts who have worked most extensively with it.
