MySiteSpace Launches Improved Power-Packed Free Web Hosting Plan [March 4, 2004]

MySiteSpace, a leading provider of budget and free web hosting services announced today to release of their upgraded, Power-Packed Free web hosting plan. MySiteSpace has offered free hosting to thousands of webmasters for over 3 years, but has just now launched what it calls a “true web hosting plan” at no cost.

While the new Free plan still offers the same disk space and transfer quotas, it’s now based on the same cPanel based hosting platform that the MySiteSpace paid plans use. Unlike the previous free hosting plan, the new offers a powerful end user control panel (cPanel), FTP and web based access, FrontPage® and Dreamweaver® support, CGI, PHP, Web site visitor stats and pre-installed scripts.

Free users may continue to use subdomains of MySiteSpace.com or may now register their own domain name to use with their free hosting account.

“To offer free hosting in this capacity is a massive undertaking, especially at our volumes”, says Marc Stephens, CEO of MySiteSpace, “but frankly our previous free hosting platform was a poor representation of what our hosting services are really all about. With the upgrade, free users get a glimpse of just how powerful our affordable paid plans are for if and when they are ready to upgrade.”
