Software to be Spun Out of Abacus America Inc.; Rodopi
Software Inc. Begins Independent Operations Next Month

DIEGO, Jul 21, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rodopi Software,
an industry leader in next generation operations support
system (OSS) and back office automation software, today
announced that the company will be spun out of its parent
company, Abacus America Inc. to form a separate corporate
entity. The move, scheduled to be completed by August
1, 2004, will enable Rodopi Software to better serve
its present and prospective customers and to focus on
deploying new technologies for the growing voice over
IP (VoIP), wireless, content and Web hosting industries.
Todd D. Benjamin, Rodopi president and CEO, will lead
the new company. Benjamin joined the company in November,
2003 to spearhead the spin out and position Rodopi for
its future standalone operations. He has twenty years
of experience in the telecommunications and technology
industries, including executive roles in software, hardware
and service provider organizations. Benjamin graduated
from the University of Washington with a BSEE in computer
engineering, and from the University of California at
Los Angeles with a masters of business administration
and a juris doctor.
