Doug Bell Joins as Vice President
of Sales, Roy Saar Appointed Vice President of International
Sales
DENVER, Colorado, January 7, 2004 —
Sphera Corporation, the leading global provider of Web
hosting automation and management software, today announced
that it has expanded its management team and moved its
corporate headquarters to Denver, Colorado. In the coming
months, Sphera will continue to leverage recent funding
to support and build its infrastructure in high-potential
markets, strengthen its technology portfolio, increase
sales and marketing initiatives and increase support
for its global customers.
Doug Bell, a 25-year veteran of telecommunications
and technology sales, joins Sphera as Vice President
of Sales in the Americas. Previously, Bell held senior
positions at Teletech Holdings, Qwest Cyber Solutions,
US West !nterprise Networking Services, and Objective
Systems Integrators. At Teletech Holdings Bell was instrumental
in acquiring significant revenues from key players in
the telecom and cable industries. At Qwest Cyber Solutions,
Bell, a founding member of the company, held the position
of Vice President of Sales, growing the company’s
revenue from zero to $140 million dollars before the
company was sold to Corio. Earlier in his career, Bell
honed his technical and sales skills in positions at
companies such as Paradyne Networks, Teledyne Corporation
and Pacific Bell.
Roy Saar, a founding member of Sphera
since 1998, has been appointed Vice President of International
Sales. Saar had held a number of key roles in the company
in marketing, operations, product management and sales
since its inception. Prior to founding Sphera, Saar
oversaw sales and marketing in Israel for R.J. Reynolds,
driving revenue to $25 million dollars. Saar is a graduate
of Tel Aviv University and the Wharton-Recanati International
Marketing Partnership, a unique collaboration between
the Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration,
at Tel Aviv University and the Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania.

Both executives will report to CEO Michael

roster. Doug Bell will join Michael Gold in the company’s
new headquarters in Denver. Roy Saar will be co-located
in Sphera’s offices in Tel Aviv, Israel and London.
