siteMagix Introduces a New Site Builder for Web Hosting Companies [August 16, 2004]

siteMagix Inc announces an online site builder, siteZen™, specifically designed to meet the needs of web hosts. Sam Elsamman, the founder of the company said “We have clearly raised the bar in both power and ease of use with a drag and drop interface and fully automated menus. Our goal is to enable our customers to successfully compete with site building services that have proprietary software. At the same time we provide a solid revenue stream through end-user upgrades.”

According to the company, siteZen™ is available for licensing on a per-seat basis to dedicated web-hosts. It comes in two versions, an entry level product with fixed layouts but variable pages configurations, called Instant Zen™ and a full fledged version that allows changes to layouts on the fly, as well as global control of headers, footers, colors, fonts and other styles. eCommerce is possible with a built in interface to Paypal™. The choice of product is determined by the hosting package and does not require per-user installation.

siteMagix also announced that it has entered into agreements with web site design firms to provide a continued stream of new site templates. This will ensure that up-to-date and fresh designs are always available. New templates will be available to web hosts free of charge.

The company is currently working with early adopters. General availability to start in Q4-2004.
